The ELCA is divided into nine regions.

North Carolina is one of six synods in Region 9

• Florida-Bahamas
• North Carolina (9-B)
• South Carolina
• Southeastern
• Virginia

The Southeastern Synod includes Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Our synod has the most congregations. Florida-Bahamas has the most baptized members.
